Quantum Mempool Window
Closing It Upstream

Google’s real quantum computing research (widely reported by Forbes, CoinDesk, and The Block, March 2026) identifies a genuine attack surface: a public key exposed in Bitcoin’s mempool gives a future cryptographically-relevant quantum computer (CRQC) roughly a 9-minute window — just under Bitcoin’s average 10-minute block time — to derive the private key before the transaction confirms.

An AI agent broadcasting a Bitcoin transaction puts that public key in the mempool. A pre-execution gate that blocks unauthorized broadcasts means the public key never enters the mempool in the first place for an unauthorized transaction — reducing that specific exposure, not addressing quantum threats to already-exposed on-chain keys generally.
